Motorola Reveals #MotoMods – Future Proof Snap-Ons

Motorola has unveiled what it’s previous Razr teaser video was leading to – a new revolution in smartphone usage. Following LG’s plug-in modules, Motorola comes with the Moto Mods – easy replaceable modules, which clasped via strong magnets to the back of three of their smartphones, Moto Z (unlocked), Moto Z Droid Edition and Moto Z Force Droid Edition.

Motorola MotoMods Future Proof

The Moto Mods modules that are released for now are, JBL SoundBoost Speaker, Moto Insta-Share Projector, Incipio offGrid PowerPack and Moto Style Shell Cover.

Brief outline of the Moto Mods:

  • JBL SoundBoost Speaker comes with High Quality JBL Audio, No Pairing Required – Just snap it on and the speakers came on instantly, it comes with a built-in kickstand and it comes with it’s own battery to last 10 hours without relying on the smartphone.
  • Moto Insta-Share Projector instantly projects up to 70″ on any flat surface and at any angle(so presumably there are controls for keystone corrections). Most importantly, the projector is able to project videos for up to an hour before using the smartphone’s battery.
  • Incipio offGrid PowerPac provides up to 22 hours of battery life and provides the ability for Qi wireless charging (for applicable models).
  • Moto Style Shell Cover allows you to quickly switch your cover to reflect your personality, fashion sense or mood of the day.

Not details are available for the availability and pricing. Watch this space! In the meantime, catch the details on http://www.motorola.com/us/moto-mods
